Week - 23rd - 27th November 2020

I had another talking my tutor this week. This time they were able to see my work and get more of an understanding of the sort of things I am creating. They were interested in why I was evaluating painting myself? To me I was writing thoughts and feeling about when I was painting these pieces of work. They said in away that my work is poetic and the things I was writing about them. I mentioned my mum being a poet and my tutor suggested that some how me and her could collaborated. some how involving her poems in my work. I feel this could be an interesting concept to develop on.

Hide me in the shadows

Bring the distance forward

Turn the light down low

Then my shine wont glow

Dense and dark

Power and defined

No set lines yet clearly refined

You cant see my soul

Its hiding behind

This is how I was designed

Stability is the trunk

No flaying limbs to block the view

Who is the person looking back at you?

Move forward, step back

I don't want to deal with others crap

I'm me, not them

Yet why so distant and feared

Do you see me?

Like I see me?

Which way, where,

Please no one stare

Exposed and Vulnerable

Yet all not there

A shadow of my Vulnerability
